Hayden and MiloThat’s what InTouch is reporting in their latest magazine issue! According to the mag, Milo Ventimiglia recently confided to a friend that even though Hayden Panettiere is only 18 years old, he wants to get engaged, preferably this year. WOW! Should I say lucky girl?? =) The actor’s friend further revealed,

Milo was looking at rings in late June. He really likes Cartier and intends to spend around $200,000.”

I hope the tabloids won’t ruin the engagement surprise for Hayden Panettiere! LOL! HaLo met on the set of Heroes and reportedly began dating in January despite their 10-year gap.

This only proves that the blonde actress is really young and 18, LOL! Hayden Panettiere had always stressed that she is more mature beyond her age and that most of her friends are older than her. Milo Ventimiglia, her boyfriend is in fact 10 years older than her! Hayden Panettiere’s latest photos on the set of her hit NBC drama Heroes showed her horsing around and having a marvelous time in between shooting her scenes. Guess she’s really just a child at heart! =) Hayden was wearing a lavender scoopneck top underneath a black cardigan teamed with a pair of jeans and sandals. Enjoy the photos!

more spoilers on Heroes season 3!

10 Jul 2008 In: Heroes, Television

Sadly, nothing more about Hayden Panettiere’s character, Claire Bennett. Still, better than nothing! September is still sooo far, gahhh! These Heroes season 3 spoilers are from E! Read at your own risk! LOL ;-)

“One of TV’s hottest men, Mohinder Suresh, has a lot coming up this season, including a love connection with a female Hero we already know (together, they are hot as fire). And let’s just say that if you had a sneaking suspicion Suresh might have some kind of superability, you would not be wrong at one point this season. There is more to him than meets the eye, but he ultimately may need to ’scale back.’”

“Ali Larter is coming back as a totally different person (i.e. doppelgänger), meaning someone who is not Niki or Jessica or Gina, and with a whole new power. And Claire’s bio-madre Jessalyn Gilsig is also returning.”

And the 18-year old actress has long blonde hair again! Thank god for hair extensions eh?? Here are more photos of Hayden Panettiere grabbing a bowl of soup and more food on styro plates while on break from filming her hit NBC drama, Heroes, last Tuesday in Los Angeles. And who is she talking to on her phone?? Look at Hayden’s ear closely, there’s a thin phone! =) Thanks to JustJared.com for the photos!

Milo Ventimiglia to make comicbook!

7 Jul 2008 In: Hayden & Milo

miloventimiglia_heroes3b.jpgHayden Panettiere’s boyfriend is certainly a man of many talents. According to reports, Peter Petrelli of “Heroes” will now be a comicbook star. Through their Divide Pictures, Milo Ventimiglia and producing partner Russ Cundiff have inked a deal with Devil’s Due Publishing to create “Rest,” a comicbook miniseries to be published in the fall. The four issues in the series will revolve around the dangers of staying awake as a man is drawn into a conspiracy between a malevolent pharmaceutical company and the U.S. government.

The design of the main character will be inspired by Milo Ventimiglia’s likeness. Mark Powers, who penned the comicbook “Drafted” and edited “X-Men,” will write the issues based on a story by Mike O’Sullivan. Devil’s Due and Milo (sans Hayden) has unveiled the project at New York’s Comic-Con. If successful, the comicbooks will be adapted as a TV show or movie. COOL! =)

According to reports, the third season of Heroes is to air in the UK at the same time as in the US as TV bosses move to end the traditional delay of several months before the show appears overseas. Good news for Hayden Panettiere’s UK fans who have been awaiting the villanious third season =) Many other TV shows suffer from this delay but in a global, internet-dominated culture, it now makes sense to try to synchronise scheduling. Jana Bennett, director of BBC Vision, said:

“People want to participate globally and, in part, that’s why this autumn, when NBC launches Heroes series three in the States, it will be aired simultaneously by the BBC in the UK.”

We’ve been posting about what the Bennetts and Petrellis will be up to in Heroes season 3, but guess what? They’re not the only characters in the said show, LOL! So, for now, enough of Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia’s characters. Here’s the dirt on the other “heroes” of Heroes I’ve gathered in the world wide web –

Monica will definitely be back, as will “Nana Dawson,” aka the legendary Nichelle Nichols. However, in the first few eps, our time with them in New Orleans will be centered around their relationship with Micah. As for West (Nicholas D’Agosto), I couldn’t swear to it in a court of law, but I’m fairly sure he’s gone, at least for the time being.

And what’s totally amazing is that my wish of Zachary Quinto and Jack Coleman sharing loads of screen time is coming true. I’m hearing that Sylar is going to start working with H.R.G. I know. Whaaa? (They might beat out Sayid and Ben as TV’s least expected odd couple!)

Sources confirm that Francis Capra has been cast on Heroes. I’ve also exclusively learned that Veronica and Weevil—I mean, Elle and Jesse, do share at least one scene. Francis Capra and Kristen Bell together again? Hallelujah! My sources tell me Francis is doing a three-episode guest arc as villain Jesse Murphy, a thug who runs with a gang of two-bit criminals. However, Jesse is more than just a meathead. He does have a power. When and where will it be deployed? You’ll have to watch to see.

If you’re an avid fan of the 18-year old actress then you are aware that she’s part of Declare Yourself, a non-partisan initiative to register every new voter in time for election day. Hayden Panettiere is quite active in the said organization, and in a new book, you can read all about her voting experience (the lack of it actually, LOL! she’s just turned 18 — it will be Hayden’s first time to vote later this year) and that of other celebrities.

Today, July 4, it has been 232 years since the Declaration of Independence was first printed. And Harper Collins, inspired by the Declaration, is releasing a new book called Declare Yourself in which 50 celebrated Americans — from Adrian Grenier to Amber Tamblyn to Hayden Panettiere to Alice Walker — share their compelling perspectives on voting and civic involvement in this one-of-a-kind book.

The book is guest edited by actress America Ferrera, and has a collection of more than fifty essays and unique pieces explores topics ranging from “The First Time I Voted” to “Why the Personal is Political,” all straight from the pens of recognized public figures. So if you’re a Hayden fanatic and feeling particularly patriotic this day, go grab a copy of Declare Yourself and be inspired! =)

“Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller (yeah, that unique show where the lead character can give back life!) was also behind “Heroes“. He recently gave an interview, and talked about “Heroes” and the character he wrote — Claire Bennet aka Hayden Panettiere. Here’s an excerpt:

You were part of the creative team behind the first season of Heroes. Do you think the criticism of season two was fair?
“I think one of the things that was so special about the first season was these characters discovering their abilities. The central metaphor for the characters was very clean and clear: you have the indestructible teenager; the single mother who has so much on her plate she needs two personalities to take care of it; the arrogant politician, so arrogant he could fly. In the second season it felt like that the central core to those characters was re-examined in a way that maybe lost a little bit of its heart.”

Where do you think they went wrong?
“I think one of the problems was there was a redundancy to some of the stories in the first season. I worked on Star Trek for five years and one of my frustrations with that show was the magical ‘history eraser’ button at the end of every episode, so you didn’t have any sense of serialisation. In Heroes season two there were a lot of things that weren’t taken advantage of, such as the Niki character. Ali Larter’s an amazing actress and as much as I loved the new characters, I missed a more thorough explanation of what was happening to the characters I’d grown attached to in the first season.”

What do you mean by “redundancies”?
“In the first season we broke up the characters so that each writer had a different character and wrote for that character for all the episodes. I was primarily writing for Claire so I became very attached to that arc. Hayden Panettiere is such an amazing actress - she could read the ‘phone book and it would be watchable - but it seemed like that the Claire-HRG relationship was going over familiar territory in the second season. I felt like I had seen those scenes before and so Claire’s story suffered from redundancies.”
