We Heart Hayden

In Touch recently reported that Hayden Panettiere’s mom, Lesley, wasn’t exactly pleased when her 18-year-old daughter started dating “Heroes” co-star Milo Ventimiglia. It’s not that Milo’s character plays UNCLE to the “Heroes” hottie cheerleader on the show. It’s the fact that he is, as everyone knows, 30 years old. Yup, Hayden and Milo has a 12 years age gap. And this is what worried Lesley. An In Touch insider revealed,

“Lesley was impressed with Milo, but was concerned about the age difference.”

Luckily for him, Lesley finally gave the relationship her stamp of approval. Milo managed to charm Hayden Panettiere’s mother over lunch at the swanky Beverly Hills hotel, where a spywitness said the two bonded. Good going Milo! =)

Then check out her FANBASE page! What’s that? It’s the latest social networking platform that provides users an unprecedented level of freedom and design customization. And it was launched by none other than Hayden Panettiere herself with RIAA certified gold Epic Recording singer/songwriter Anna Nalick. FANBASE will connect fans with their favorite artists and musicians and each other in personalized web space. According to their press release,

Artists will have all the tools they need to keep their closest fans “in the know” with frequent photos, videos, and blog entries they can easily update themselves. Each user who joins an artist’s Fanbase starts with a personal welcome screen, created by the artist. Fans can communicate with the artists and gain “backstage” access to unpublished photos, concert footage, etc.

Visitors to Hayden Panettiere’s Zude site (www.zude.com/hayden) get an overview gallery full of pictures, a brief biography, a Hayden-themed music player, and links to her “Save the Whales Again” charitable work. Once a fan clicks on “FANBASE” (check out screenshot above!) and signs up to be part of Hayden’s fan club, that user has exclusive access to Hayden’s site, with never-before-seen photos, a music video library, and a blog written by the “Heroes” actress herself. Is that cool or what?? =) Hayden Panettiere says,

“I’m really excited to create a community where I can easily reach my fans whenever I want. I had a lot of fun making my site, and I hope everyone enjoys it.”

And she did party hard! LOL! According to reports, Hayden Panettiere partied with her mom, Lesley (not seen in the pics yesterday). Witnesses say the “Heroes” actress dirty-danced with guys in the VIP area to Natasha Bedingfield’s live performance. All this while her mother stood nearby, sipping screwdrivers and keeping an eye on her. Yeah, she’s quite strict but at least Hayden Panettiere gets to party! =) But one witness shared that the whale-loving star was even more strict than her mom. The witness revealed –

“Hayden was constantly pulling her mom’s dress down because it kept hiking up too high.”

After all her hard work to “Save the Whales Again!” in Washington DC, the “Heroes” actress flew to New York and partied hard. Well, not really, hehe! Hayden Panettiere just dressed up real nice and showed her glamorous side in a “New Old Navy” event last January 30. See how gorgeous she is?? Perfect!

Hayden Panettiere went with “Heroes” co-star Kristen Bell at the said event held at New York City’s Eyebeam Atelier. She wore a very classy cream blouse (got a sexy slit at the back!) with a long black fitting skirt, and super-red lipstick, circa 1940s. The event was for Old Navy to get back the the market on discount designer fashions by giving itself a facelift with some sexy new fashion-forward options. An Old Navy rep told press,

“We’re more fashion-forward and on-trend than ever before. But don’t worry - we still carry all the great basics that customers know and love.”

Fashion-forward and trendy? Are you, by chance,  describing Hayden Panettiere sir?? Hehe!

Look how far her “Save the Whales Again” campaign got Hayden! Yes, that’s ex-Presidential candidate John Kerry with her! How cool is that?? Hayden Panettiere spoke to the Washington DC press last January 29, with some philanthropists and politicos present. The “Heroes” actress was wearing a conservative grey skirt, and equally conservative black sweater. Yeah, Hayden Panettiere ditched the RED-hot and yellow outfits she wore over the weekend in campaign rallies, hehe!

And the list of celebrities who endorse the Democrat presidential candidate (still in the primaries, okay??) continues to grow! After two days of speaking for “Save the Whales Again!” campaigns, Hayden Panettiere took time off last January 29 (Monday) and visited Barack Obama in Washington DC. The presidential candidate was holding a rally at American University where he was endorsed by Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy. During the event, Hayden Panettiere showed up, hoping to meet Mr. Obama in person. However, she was made to wait. Here’s her conversation exchange with the police:

Police: “In terms of meeting up with him, we would have to wait for the staffer.”
Hayden: “That’s fine. Let’s at least try.”
Escort: “I think if they understand who she is they’ll probably go and talk to her.”

Fortunately for Hayden Panettiere, Mr. Obama’s staffers let her in to meet her presidential candidate of choice. No photos of that “meeting” though! All we have are pictures of Hayden waiting to get in, LOL!

Last Sunday, after the speaking in the “Save the Whales Again!” campaign rally in Dupont Circle (Washington DC), the “Heroes” actress spoke yet again about commercial whaling in the Gaston Hall of Georgetown University. Hayden Panettiere is with actor Pierce Brosnan and Australian star Isabel Lucas in fighting for whales in this campaign. Jeff Pantukhoff, executive director of the Save the Whales Again! Campaign, joined the actress at Georgetown, asserting that there is much work left to be done. In her speech, Hayden Panettiere said,

“For years, people have been combating [whaling]. But within a day, with that footage we got [from Japan], it helped astronomically. Seventy-seven percent of Japan is opposed to whaling and 75 percent of Americans are opposed to whaling, but the governments just don’t represent what the people want”

Hayden Panettiere also said she came to Georgetown to make younger people aware of this problem and to elicit their support. She said,

“A college campus is where young people are. And that’s what I’m trying to do is get the word out to young people.”

According to reports, the “Heroes” actress was greeted with an overwhelmingly positive response. Her passionate speech won the approval of the small but committed crowd. Way to go Hayden! She told the crowd, “Not only are theses animals being cruelly slaughtered, the meat is contaminated by huge levels of mercury”. Hayden further added, “And we’re not taking a stand because Japan is one of our biggest allies in the war on terror, but Australia is an ally and they’ve told Japan what they think, and good on them!” Wish we were there to watch and hear you talk gurl! =)

The “Heroes” actress arrived in Washington DC last January 26. The next day, before speaking at the “Save the Whales Again!” campaign rally, Hayden Panettiere had an interview in the CNN Building. The pictures below were taken after she left the building. As usual, Hayden Panettiere looked great! The RED-hot overcoat totally suited her! =)
