We Heart Hayden

Yeah, this is the movie that will shed our fave Heroes’ actress’ cheerleader image. Hayden Panettiere is brunette here and plays a role more serious than a high school hero. She stars alongside Julia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Emily Watson and Willem Dafoe in the movie (the guys are pictured above when the film screened in Berlin). In the family drama, Hayden Panettiere appears in the flashback scenes playing the young incarnation of the no-nonsense character that Emily Watson plays in the present. Fireflies in the Garden’s director, Dennis Lee, has no doubt about her star quality. He says,

“Hayden is spectacularly talented. People know her through Heroes but she is the real deal. I’d love for people to understand that and not lump her in with her generation of actors who tend, for a lack of a better phrase, to get themselves in trouble. She has her head on straight.”
