Hayden Panettiere speaks at the “Save the Whales Again!” rally against the resumption of commercial whaling in Washington D.C.’s Dupont Circle last January 27, 2008. According to reports, the “Heroes” actress was greeted with an overwhelmingly positive response. Her passionate speech won the approval of the small but committed crowd. Way to go Hayden! She told the crowd, “Not only are theses animals being cruelly slaughtered, the meat is contaminated by huge levels of mercury”. Hayden further added, “And we’re not taking a stand because Japan is one of our biggest allies in the war on terror, but Australia is an ally and they’ve told Japan what they think, and good on them!” Wish we were there to watch and hear you talk gurl! =)
